Call them. I dont know
Yes they are open on Sunday...... Closed on Monday.... But they also close for vacation in July so you should call before going
I dont think so
I've never heard either way but have haf no reason to ask. I would suggest giving them a call. They are really nice people and very helpful.
They have a large room in back that would be great for a partu or meeting room
They don't deliver any where.
1030 to 830
Amazing food. Polite staff. If you're in town you need to give it a try.
Love this restaurant. Been going here ever since I was a girl. Everything is delicious and excellent service!
Always yummy food and great service just done home charm and cooking!
The people and food are great!
Cozy, family restaurant that takes home cooking to a whole other level. Menu is packed full of traditional meals, salads and desserts. Portions for entrees and sides are huge. Breaded pork chops, baked steak, chili and more; all done superbly. Staff was super friendly and service was quick. It was a great dinner for me and my family.
Family business. True home cooking. Truly 5 star comfort food.
Home cooked food a little pricey but portions were big and well worth it.pies were great
A wonderful dining experience. I had the hot bologna. Since they put a sauce on it, I always get Hazel's famous slaw on the side to add to my sandwich....oh so good!!!
I absolutely love this place..I travel 60 miles one way to get there but it is worth it..the food is AWESOME..the waters or waitress are always friendly
Greeted as out of towners! Loved it. Great family owned business. Totally worth the 3 mile detour off the highway. Awesome dessert.
The food was delicious and the service was good and quick. But I think that their prices are a little high. For example, a meal was ordered off of the kids menu and it came with 5 chicken nuggets and a side and it was over $6. Other than the that our overall experience was good.
I dont care for their food, but everyone here is nice and the atmosphere is very family oriented.
Great Food, Great Service, reasonable pricing. And did not have to wait long on my meal.
Went to have dinner here. Place is older but you can tell has a lot of history. Staff was very friendly and nice. It is a great family restaurant. I ordered the roast beef with mash and cole slaw. Cole slaw was very good, one of the better cole slaws I have had. The rest of the meal was okay. The meet was a little dry, and bland. Masg was bland as well. It was not bad or awful, just not the best. I also had a slice of pie, I got the graham cracker pie. It was okay as well. I think they should call it the vanallia pudding pie since it was mainly vanallia pudding with a graham cracker pie crust. That took was not very flavorful. Overall, it was an okay experience, I would try the place again, but it was not anything to write home about.
Good home cooked food.
Good homecoming style food. If you don't have time to cook it, but still craving it, this is the place to go. I've been going to this restaurant my entire life. The pies are amazing! Order off the daily printed specials menu. Cannot go wrong.
We are never disappointed ! The loaded potato cakes are a must try ! Great service!
This place is always good, has that great "down home" feel. Everytime I visit the Charleston area this is a must go for me. Amazing food
An American, home-style restaurant with a few surprises. Reasonably priced & a lot of food for the money. Ample, free, off-street parking. Swivel, old-school barstools at the counter for a quick bite, booths and tables for those settling in for a meal. One of my favorite places to eat, ever. Full of nostalgia from the 50's through the 90's; knotty pine paneling, Formica, wood, vinyl, tile are all though backs from years past. The owners & staff are super nice, friendly, & helpful. A little off the beaten path, but still convenient. I've really never had a bad meal here, no matter what I choose. And lots of desserts available, many homemade! There's a reason this place is so crowded at meal time & why it's been successful for so long.
I think they have really good food, but I was pretty disappointed when they charged me for extra bread, most restaurants these days will let you eat all the bread that you want, and most of the time it’s hidden in the cost of the food so that way you don’t know you’ve paid for it.
Great country cooking and with an awesome Cowboy Westerner interior theme! Great for a family sit-down.
Good was delicious! Although, they ran out of dessert. Had no room for it anyway!
Some of the worst food that I have ever had, 3 of us ate there, the food had no salt or pepper to season, we could not even eat half of the food. The rolls were frozen dinner rolls from Walmart, the steak was nothing but hamburger labeled as steak, not to mention paying 65 dollars for the meal. I will not ever go there again, how it has been opened since 1960 is beyond me.
Traditional meals, good home cooking!
Real home cooking. You have to read about the bean pot hanging to the left as you walk in the door. That is enough to let you know exactly what this place is about! When passing through West Virginia, you owe it to yourself to take the Nitro exit off I-64, and stop at Diehl's.
The customer service was amazing! It's an amazing place to eat. The food was amazing 👌😍
The food was great! This was my first visit and I will definitely be back. I had the meatloaf dinner with the loaded potato cake and green beans, awesome! Great place to eat if you're looking for a real home cooked meal. Our server Angela did a great job making sure we were happily taken care of. Can't wait to go back!!
Their rolls, pie, chicken livers, and marinated chicken are delicious.
Ex ellent! Pure comfort food. Idyllic setting,
Excellent food and service, would stop there again if in Nitro.
Diehl's is perfect for down home comfort food. I've eaten there several times and it has been in the community a very long time. Cost and service are average but the food is excellent and I support small businesses.
I had a hamburger (okay) --coleslaw (great)-- garden salad (okay)-- Mt DewMy wife had roast beef (good) --mash potatoes (runny) --green beans (flavored okay but not hot) .$28.00 plus tipWe were sitting near a display of toy pistols that looked like they hadn't been dusted since they opened in 1960
great place for comfort food. My husband and I split a grilled chicken salad and a burger. Both were great and it was more than enough food. we had enough left over for a second meal. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Family owned home cooking at its best..good rolls and desserts!
Great food and service..Especially their Biscuits and Gravy. #1 in the Kanawha Valley.
Food was great. Staff was very friendly. Home cooked food at its finest.. would definitely recommend and would definitely eat there again.
Hi dollars to eat but top food! For home cooked food. No steaks like New York strip or ribeye or sirloin.
Best baked steak made away from my grandmother's kitchen that I've ever had
Food was bland, over priced for a steak thats basically a burger.
No plasticware. No butter. Not even a napkin. Portions are much smaller on carryout as well. Not a deal...very disappointed.
I love the food, if I'm in an American cuisine mood! The atmosphere is casual, nice if you like memorabilia all over the walls. You get the family-owned vibe loud and clear here, and the food shows it the most. Coconut cream pie is private recipe and is fantastic! Service is friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Go late afternoon before the lines get long! A full parking lot all the time doesn't lie.
It was overpriced and the food was bland. The "steak" with onions was just a burger and had a lack of salt. The dressing looked fried and tasted bad, the rolls tasted like they came from the freezer aisle at Walmart, and the check costed my family $64 for nothing more than bland tasteless food. Very disappointing and not worth the money we paid
Always fresh, homemade food. Friendly staff, interesting wall decorations (antique items, etc). Worth the wait to be seated.
Unbelievably delicious and great atmosphere. Gigantic portions so come hungry. Everything is homemade and to perfection. Don't pass on desert get the homemade Coconut Pie with real coconut and whip cream with toasted coconut on top. Mmmmmm you won't be sorry you visited Diehl's Restaurant Nitro, WV
Great home made food ,pies. They all kinds of unusual things on the walls.
A long wait that’s always well worth it. A bit of an unusual location, but parking is accommodating. The food is always amazing, and servers are kind and attentive. The interior is lined with memorabilia and the atmosphere is homey and comfortable. A great place to share hearty laughs and meaningful conversations over even better food.
Nice air conditioned atmosphere and our waitress so extremely polite, sincere, and accommodating. Excellent food and affordable prices
A local favorite since 1960. Diehl's, pronounced Deals by the locals, is Nitro's home town favorite. But, folks drive from dang near all over. The sweet talking waitresses, are as sweet as the tea. The walls are a museum of memorabilia. Everything is made from scratch. The recipes are the same today as when they opened. People don't come expecting something new. They come, because they know, like Grandma's cooking, it will be exactly the way they remembered it. From pot roast to pie. Fried sage dressing to hash browns, "scattered, smothered, and covered." Diehl's is a pretty big deal around here, it's well worth finding out why.
Good food. Large portions. Friendly people. Would recommend everyone to try it
Old type of country food that's delicious and the sage dressing you've got to try it
